This is a picture of Oscar. We adopted him Memorial
Day weekend 2003, two days after we lost our first
Dachshund, Rusty, to congestive heart failure. I
rescued Rusty from the Humane Society in
Mechanicsburg, Pa. and I was owned by him for 11
years. He was 14 when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Oscar healed the hurt from that loss. He was an eight
pound tweenie that Ed and Ann Gurka just knew would
fit into our home and hearts. They were so right. His
favorite pastimes are beating the tar out of Skunkie
and Cat Burglar. He loves to play catch and he is the
best "shot dog" I have ever seen. He will even drop to
the ground while jumping on me.Nick Kulp

Here is a picture of Tootsie. Tootsie is
looking for another mini Dachshund to help her chase squirels in her back
yard. She is a real character and has brought joy to our family for one
and half years. Jamie Markiewicz |

Ty has adapted extremely
quickly to her new surroundings and family. Ty has a big brother to watch
out for her and she snuggles in tight with her Dad when she goes to bed.
What a great addition to our small family! Ty must have been destined for
our family, as it feels as if she has been here from the start! Ty is
keeping paying close attention to her diet that Cindy has her on and is
slowly regaining the weight and is really filling out to be a beauty! She
has such a great personality considering what she has been through in her
short life.
She will always be a
beauty in our eyes.

We adopted Bailey from DRBC in Feb. of 2002. He has brought nothing but
joy to our home and to his sister Hannah. Here is Bailey waiting for
food as usual and playing with his favorite toy The Jelly Bean Guy!
And
also his sister Hannah.
Thank You DRBC!

OK, It was really HARD to pick just one, so here's 5 photos
of our Luddie and our new addition, Bailey (a/k/a
"Steve"). We adopted Bailey on Nov. 17th from DRBC and are
loving him more and more each day. Sometimes he "torments"
his big brother, but big brother is just proving he's the
"alpha" in the group! They really are cute together (as
you can see) |

Hello,
We adopted Leo from DRBC and he has been a complete joy to us! He is
protective and very clearly loves us with every ounce of his 12-pound
body.

In the spirit of the holiday, here are our two crazy
dogs. The devil is Disco, an 8 pound miniature who runs our
household. The pumpkin is Vegas, a 12 pound tweenie who came to us
from DRBC to be Disco's sister and partner in crime. They are both
full of love, personality, and puppy kisses, and I can't imagine our
family without them.
Happy Halloweiner!

This is my beloved ZEUS! He's a mix: a
dachshund and a cocker-breton, very funny and playful. Just turned 6 years
old.
Unfortunately he lives back home in Italy, thousands of miles away from me
:(
I miss him a lot!

be, NOW GIVE ME SOME FOOD." |
|

The other half, Watson. He
likes to read the paper when I do. I adopted him from DRBC. I
can't thank them enough for bringing him into my life. |
