Not too long ago I went to the veterinarian, I love it there, but they said my kidneys are failing.  That definitely crimps the love life.  Now I have special food, special medications and subcutaneous fluids and acupuncture.   Never fear though, I remain on the job except during treatments! 

You know what...I am one of the lucky ones.  Me and my brother Homer get to go see Dr Karen Collins over at the Veterinary Specialty & Emergency place and she helps keep us tip top!   I don't know what we would do without the great veterinary support we get thanks to the folks at  Dachshund Rescue of Bucks County & NJ.  I am hoping you can help them help even more little guys like me.  Having a Best Friend means we could all worry a little less about treatments and other stuff and hey, I got enough on my plate being top dog, you know?   

Smokey is a pistol to say the least.  Now the pack leader, he had some great teachers here over the course of his life to help him understand right from wrong.   DRBC is happy to be able to provide sanctuary, shelter, medical support and love to Smokey and his friends for the rest of their lives in our Best Friends Program.  We hope you will join their cause.
